A superb variety for growing against a north or east facing wall. The fruits are large and juicy with a bittersweet flavour when ripe. The fruits are round and dark red, the flesh is soft and is superb for pies, cooking and bottling etc. Crops are heavy and regular and are ready for picking August to September. The trees are only moderately vigorous and are very easy to manage. This variety is self fertile, so can be grown on its own with no other pollinators. Pruning is different for cooking cherries and is fully detailed in our leaflet the Care of your Top Fruits’.
